Chin Lai is a freelance photographer who has always been interested in photography, purchasing his first camera at age seven. In his teens, Chin Lai was an "unofficial" member of his school's photography club, where learned how to develop and print black and white photographs in the school's photography club tucked under the cramped confines of the school staircase.

With the DSLR technology becoming more affordable, his interest in photography became a passion.

The desire to see the extraordinary in the simple, ordinary places, people and objects in his life shapes his creative vision.

Chin Lai has never won any photography contests or awards, but has received many happy and positive feedback and has had his work printed in a local daily.

Chin Lai currently resides in Kuala Lumpur and can take jobs anywhere in the Klang Valley and beyond. He may be hired directly or via senyumstudio.com.
